The Chikitas is a grunge/rock/punk duo band formed in Geneva, Switzerland in 2011 happening to be two girls: the crazy kick-ass drummer Saskia Fuertes and the machiavelic guitarist-singer Lynn Maring.

Their sound is likea dirty creamy rock pie, cooked with grunge influences and punkroots. A strong cocktail of hyperactivity and passion for dirty rock’n’roll is the girls’ main motivation. They were long time acquaintances as they rehearsed for the very first time last February on Valentine’s day and it seemed like their talents fell in love.  Lynn’s special vocal performance is noticeable as well as the original and powerful Saskia’s way of drumming, leading their live performances to success.

 Things then went pretty quickly for The Chikitas. After two months of the band’s existence the girls were already in Studio 82 in Geneva for recording their very first album « Butchery » which
came out on 11.11.11!
